Plan on three to four days. The skin is red and feels warm and tight immediately afterward, similar to a sunburn, and there is usually some swelling on the first day. A fine grid pattern from the needles may be visible for a day or two as it settles.

Keep the skin clean and moisturised, stay out of the sun, and hold off on active skincare — retinoids, acids, scrubs — until the redness has fully settled.

We generally recommend a course of one to three treatments, depending on what is being addressed and how your skin responds. Deeper acne scarring and more established laxity usually need the full course; texture and pore size often respond sooner.

The first change is usually in skin texture and brightness within a couple of weeks, but the part that matters most takes longer. New collagen is laid down gradually and continues building for around three months after treatment, so the fuller result is not what you see at your two-week check — it arrives quietly over the following weeks.
