Teresa Zamary, DO, FAAD

CEO/Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Teresa Zamary (formerly Dr. Teresa Ishak) is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology.  Her areas of expertise include general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and she prides herself in providing patients with comprehensive and quality care as a board-certified dermatologist.

Dr. Zamary is an alumni of UC Irvine, graduating with her B.S. in Biological Sciences before achieving her medical degree (D.O). at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Dr. Zamary completed her internship at UC Irvine Medical Center followed by her dermatology residency at Pacific Hospital/Western University of Health Sciences in 2014, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Zamary received her board certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association. She attends several meetings yearly to maintain the continuing medical education required to stay up-to-date on the standard of care and knowledgable on the latest treatment modalities. She won the “Ultimate Clinician Competition” at the 2019 Winter Clinical conference, placing first among 400 dermatologists at the conference. 

Dr. Zamary was born in Kuwait, lived in Denmark, and moved to California at age of seven. Being of Danish and Egyptian decent, she appreciates cultural diversity and travels extensively. She has language fluency in English, Spanish, and Danish. She has a special interest in doing international medical missions and has worked in Zambia, Ethiopia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the Philippines. In her free time she enjoys exercising, cooking, going to church and spending time with her husband Kirellos, two sons Christian and Noah, and labrador named Simon.

Dennis Nguyen, MD, FAAD

Board-Certified Dermatologist & Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Dennis Nguyen is a Southern California native, privileged to be serving the community as a Board-Certified Dermatologist and ACMS Fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon.

Dr. Nguyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Following college, Dr. Nguyen continued his work in the UCSF Melanoma Sentinel Lymph Node Program in the research of autologous melanoma vaccines. He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine as a prestigious Regents Scholar in 2004. From there, Dr. Nguyen completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, his dermatology residency at University Hospitals/Case Western in Cleveland, and his Mohs Surgery and Procedural Dermatology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York.

Since 2009, Dr. Nguyen has honed his interest and skills in the treatment of skin cancers and cutaneous oncology. Dr. Nguyen has performed over 12,000 cases of Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction during this time, treating all manner of common and rare skin malignancies. His fellowship training and extensive experience make him uniquely qualified for the meticulous removal of skin cancer and the art of facial reconstruction.

To ensure the highest level of care and training for Mohs Surgery and reconstruction, patients need to insist their surgeon have completed a rigorous Mohs Surgery Fellowship accredited by the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Nguyen is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgery, and member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He has published and lectured on the topic of facial reconstruction, leading workshops mentoring young surgeons. Dr. Nguyen reviews articles for publication in the journal Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Nguyen enjoys travel, photography and the foods and rich cultural opportunities of Southern California. He explores this alongside his wife Alyssa, sons Theodore and Harry, and their dog Crick.

Kirellos Zamary, MD

Board-Certified Surgeon

Dr. Kirellos Zamary is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated from UC Davis with honors prior to completing medical school at UC Irvine. After his internship at Brown University, he completed his general surgery residency at the UCSF Fresno program, and completed a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Stanford University.  Throughout his career, he has published multiple articles in various reputable journals. Dr. Kirellos Zamary currently serves as a Trauma/Critical Care surgeon and Associate Trauma Medical Director at St. Joseph Memorial hospital in Santa Rosa and serves on-staff at Z Dermatology & Skin Wellness for any extensive surgical excisions needed for our patients. Throughout his training, he has honed his skills in complex skin excisions, sentinel lymph node biopsies, and all modalities of varicose vein treatments.
