Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect the day of the treatment?

A topical anesthetic is applied to the entire face or specific target areas for 30-45 minutes. The provider will begin by making several passes on sections of your face or specific target areas with the microneedle hand-piece. Heat and tingling sensations can be expected as the laser moves across the skin. Depending on the size of the target areas, the procedure may take between 15 to 45 minutes.

What should I expect after my RF Microneedling procedure?

Immediately after your RF microneedling treatment you may notice a few of the following things: redness, red needle puncture marks, itchiness, pinpoint bruising, swelling. These issues above are common and should resolve over the next few days. You may apply an icepack to the irritated area for 20-30 minutes for any pain or itching. Redness for 3-5 days is a common side effect.  Rarely swelling may persist and a prescription will be given. We will be placing exosomes on your face post procedure, which would be best not to wash off that night. You may cleanse your skin with cool water and a gentle cleanser, followed by a moisturizer and sunscreen the next morning. It is important to keep your skin hydrated and adopt the use of zinc or titanium dioxide base sun-block (applied several times a day) as your daily regimen for at least 2 weeks after your procedure. It is also advised to cover up by wearing a hat when outdoors.
